What is Zi Wei Dou Shu?

Zi Wei Dou Shu is believed to have been created by Chen Tuan (Chen Xiyi, 872-989 CE), a legendary Taoist sage during the Five Dynasties and early Song period. Refined by subsequent masters like Wu Jingluan and Lu Wei, it was kept secret among emperors and nobles due to its precision—hence the name "Science of Emperors." Using the North Star (Purple Star/Zi Wei) as the main star, along with 114 celestial bodies including Tianfu, Sun, and Moon, placed within twelve palaces, it creates unique destiny charts. By analyzing star "brightness levels" (energy strength in different palaces), "Four Transformations" (Lu, Quan, Ke, Ji changes), and palace relationships, it provides detailed insights into destiny, personality, and all aspects of life fortune.
